It took Savannah a while before she decided to commit to 6-months of work in the Mama Restore program. She was 2 years out from having her last kiddo and still dealing with weight gain, inflammation, joint pain, hormonal issues, and stress. After finally becoming frustrated with what society typically has to offer (counting macros/calories, excessive exercise, and extreme dieting), she decided to give nutritional therapy and health coaching a shot. It was such an honor (and still is!) to be apart of her health journey and watch her redefine the relationships she had to food and her body. Savannah is the perfect example of what can happen when you let go of “all-or-nothing” type thinking and prioritize yourself above all else.

It took me a while to finally commit to working with Amber. I was almost two years postpartum from having my second baby, and I never felt like my body “bounced back”. Not only did I struggle to lose weight, but I was also plagued by inflammation, joint pain, hormonal issues, and stress.
I have always identified as a healthy person, so it was super frustrating to feel so unhealthy. But I didn’t want to binge diet, count macros, or spend all my time on a treadmill. Not only did this not fit into my lifestyle as a business owner and busy mom, but it no longer fit with my moral code. I wanted my kids to see that there is a better way. I just didn’t know what it was.
This is why I ultimately chose to work with Amber: I knew she could show me a better way. Throughout our work together, she taught me basic principles of nutrition and why they are important. She never shamed me for what I ate, and never asked me to cut out food groups. She only encouraged me to add healthy habits and food to my lifestyle, and gradually the rest was crowded out.
I was also able to heal nearly all of my inflammation and joint pain through the nutrition protocol she provided. The best part was that this created a ripple effect throughout my whole family. It got my kids eating balanced meals for the first time ever, and my husband became more committed to his nutrition.
The work I did with Amber gave me a healthy foundation I can build on for the rest of my life, as I work towards progress and not perfection. And I don’t even have to do it alone as I am renewing my contract to keep working with her! (Yes she’s that good!)
Thank you Amber!
