Can you believe it’s already been a month since I kicked off this series? I sure can’t, but it’s been so much fun to reflect on the little things bringing me joy lately. Sharing them with you is easily one of my favorite parts of the month!
So, without further ado, here are the items I’ve been absolutely loving lately—The Little Things: November 2024 Edition.
These have been my go-to during my deficit this month, especially for afternoon snacks. I’ve been pairing one with a fun, carby “munchy” type thing like popcorn or Pop Chips, and it’s been a game changer. Each Chobani Complete packs 20 grams of protein, no added sugar, and even a bit of fiber.
Now, if you’re coming at it from a super “crunchy” perspective, the ingredient list might not be your favorite—but I’m all about living in the gray area. These are good enough, help me hit my goals, and taste great. Wins all around!
Y’all know I’m obsessed with romantic fantasy—aka romantasy. I mean, I’ve got Maas-verse elements tattooed on my arm, so you know it’s serious. If you’re anything like me and can’t get enough of this genre, you need to check out the Fantasy Fangirls podcast. They dive deep into the lore, foreshadowing, and, as they say, “Oh, so much more.”
Lately, I’ve been loving their breakdown of my least favorite ACOTAR book, A Court of Silver Flames. It’s really made me rethink my stance on Nesta. Honestly, Silver Flames might just be one of the best healing journeys I’ve ever read. The way Nesta’s self-loathing is explored is unmatched, and this podcast has me appreciating her story in a whole new way. Highly recommend!
Guys, I cannot rave enough about my Omnilux red/blue light mask. I’ve been battling terrible cystic hormonal acne for years—even with eating well and taking great care of myself, my skin has always been a struggle. I suspect sluggish liver detox pathways are partly to blame, but regardless, nothing I tried over the past 12 months seemed to work… until this mask.
Y’all, it has completely cleared up my skin! I’m not exaggerating—whenever I feel something brewing, this mask nips it in the bud. It’s been a total game-changer for me, and I am beyond grateful I found it.
This is hands-down the best protein powder to mix with oatmeal. Period. I first discovered this brand on TikTok, and I’m so glad I gave it a try. The ingredients are clean enough for me, and the flavor is absolutely amazing when stirred into oatmeal—it adds just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess.
Bonus: It’s also great for baking! Whether you’re making protein muffins, pancakes, or other baked goods, this powder is a must-have. Highly recommend giving it a try!
If you follow me on social, you already know my “Latte Therapy” segments might as well be called “Cortado Therapy” these days. Mike and I have been obsessed with this drink! It’s similar to a latte but with less milk—equal parts milk to espresso, which keeps that satisfying level of bitterness intact. If you’re not sure on the differences, check THIS out for an explanation.
Not only is it delicious, but it also helps me save a few calories while I’m in a deficit. It’s become my current go-to and I’m loving it!
The other night, I was in the mood for something a little different and stumbled across a super simple shrimp fajita recipe. Shrimp can be hit or miss for me, but this one was definitely a hit. The flavors were perfect, and it came together so quickly.
The boys weren’t into it (they’re not shrimp fans), but no worries—I whipped up quesadillas for them instead. More shrimp fajitas for me, and I’m not mad about it!
And lastly, something for you runners or those just starting out. Mike and I are in week 4 of our half marathon training, and I’m truly enjoying the training plans offered by the Runna app. My goal is to pick up my pace a bit and better manage my heart rate, and this app has been instrumental in structuring my training with those objectives in mind. It adjusts recommendations based on how many days you can run, whether you include resistance training, and it dynamically updates as your training progresses. I’m also really loving how it syncs seamlessly with my Apple Watch. Highly recommend for anyone looking to streamline their training!
And that’s it for this month’s edition of The Little Things! I hope you found something that piqued your interest in what’s been bringing me joy recently. If you’ve got any new finds or go-tos that you’re loving, shoot me a DM on Instagram—I’m always curious to see what others are into. Stay tuned for the next round-up; I’m sure there will be plenty more to talk about. Thanks for reading!
